I seek to explore the notions of time and timelessness, the known and unknown.
In exploring printmaking and adornment I make references to traditional woodblock printing techniques.I’m interested in capturing both the marks made on paper and the characteristics of the carving implements. These are recorded in both the print and the jewellery.
By transforming the detritus of the woodblock into a brooch I have created these two works that are connected yet disconnected.
