Materials: Place names cut from maps, collected hair, adhesive, pillowcase, pillow.
Where we lay our heads to sleep is a most intimate place, the pillow is a place of disparate experience. We turn to it in exhaustion, sadness, sickness and anger.
We dream, sometimes surreal images, sometimes quiet memories visit. Some travel the world with their pillow tucked under their arm, an awkward but necessary comfort. I wonder about the pillows in hotels….
